An unusual color for a daylily, rest assured it won't be missed no matter how crowded your garden may be! Aside from its stand-out color, it stands tall on scapes that are 43" high!
As a mid season bloomer, we begin to see the stunning blooms of Brown Exotica around the middle of June. If you live to our north, you'll see them a bit after we do. If you live to our south, you'll notice them a couple of weeks before us.
Brown Exotica is a dormant daylily. That means it is best grown in areas that receive a sustained winter cold period like those in zones 8 and lower.
Plant Brown Exotica with bright gold or brilliant yellow daylilies or try it with dark purple and sizzling orange for an unexpected punch of color. Gorgeous!
